MOU BETWEEN AAMUSTED AND GSDI SIGNED

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED) and GIZ Ghana for the continuous cooperation within the Technical, Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Component of the Program for Sustainable Economic Development (PSED) which implements the Ghana Skills Development Initiative (GSDI IV).

The MoU, which was signed on the 17th of February 2022, is expected to result in the training of 750 TVET facilitators in Curriculum Based Training (CBT), 100 curriculum developers, 100 Industrial Supervisors and 500 Mastercraft Persons. It was initialed by Prof. F.K. Sarfo, the Vice Chancellor of AAMUSTED and Ms. Lea Lambrecht the Head of the TVET Unit of the PSED at GIZ Ghana on behalf of their respective organizations.

The major thrust of the MoU is to support efforts to ensure that TVET facilitators across Ghana are able to provide high quality education to learners throughout the country and increase the skills-set and quality of technical institutions.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Director General of the Commission for TVET Dr. Fred Asamoah and his team, representatives from the TVET Service, representatives from the Ghana TVET Voucher Programme, colleges of Education, Technical Universities and other relevant stakeholders.
