MONITORING AND EVALUATION

Review and Development of Tools and Instruments

An intensive review of GSDI’s Monitoring took place from 1st to 12th September 2014. The review was facilitated by Mrs. Doris Weidemann-Butscher from Germany. Besides the establishment of Monitoring instruments for all three intervention levels (Macro/Meso/Micro) the main focus was directed towards developing a Monitoring System for the implementation of the Cooperative Apprenticeship Training.

MONITORING AND EVALUATION

Consulting various stakeholders/partners like COTVET, Training Providers and Trade Associations, the following topics were handled:

1. Discuss monitoring tools and adjust them according to their regional and sector-specific context

2. Define process flow and clarify roles and responsibilities during Monitoring

3. Introduce and discuss data entry/processing model and data base

4. Discuss practicabilities of the monitoring process

The developed Monitoring tools are now being finalized and a guiding manual will accompany the correct use/handling of Monitoring lists, questionnaires, excel sheets etc.

First regional Monitoring committees are being formed, roles and responsibilities are allocated. As soon as the implementation of the Cooperative Apprenticeship Training takes off, a comprehensive Monitoring System is in place.
